In the first (long) field, enter city, state or province or country, or enter a postal code. For a more precise location, you may preceed this with your address. Google Maps parses this, so what works there should work here.
Examples: (note: for legal reasons, UK and China don't work very well)
Note that if the last 5 contiguous digits in the address field is a zipcode, the weather map will center to that zip code.
Optionally, you can enter geo coordinates directly into this field. Examples of acceptable forms include (don't forget the compass directions!):
In the second field, enter your timezone (POSIX format). Examples:
In the third field, optionally enter a key for a Clear Sky Clock.
Currently, this is only available for parts of North America. To find
a key, go to
http://cleardarksky.com/csk/index.html#clock_list>
and locate a nearby clock. Go to that clock's "legend" page, showing
the clear sky clock and instructions on reading it. Look at
the URL in your address bar. It should look something like:
http://cleardarksky.com/c/XXXXXXkey.html.
Take the (usually, 6 or 7 letters) key, which is
between the "c/" and the "key.html" and enter it in the
third field on the Astrosketches web page. If all works
well, you should then have your local clock appear on the
page.
